SOPHIE GUYOT | THE STARDUST MEMORY PROJECT
Stufels
It is said that stars continue to emit light long after they have been extinguished. Similarly, humans leave traces that remain visible across generations—a kind of "fossil radiation." The Stardust Memory Project takes up this idea, working with private photo archives. In Bressanone, family albums containing memories of the deceased were collected. Sophie Guyot transformed five selected photographs graphically and projected them during the festival. Accompanying these, local author Nadia Runger wrote poetic texts about the life stories of those depicted, underscoring the projections and transforming the space into a collective, poetic field of memory.
The project has already been implemented and will continue in other cities worldwide. More information can be found at www.stardustmemoryproject.com.
