A matter of the heart
Acting consciously, protecting resources and limiting the impact on nature and the environment: for bike festa Südtirol, this is not a minor detail, but a guiding principle.
The event is GreenEvent certified and implements concrete and measurable actions, from the use of regional products to careful and responsible waste management.
The destination also follows this vision: Bressanone is certified according to the standards of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). A context that demonstrates how sport, territory and sustainability can move in the same direction.
We are GreenEvent
Targeted measures
The bike festa Südtirol brings cycling to the heart of Brixen. As a certified GreenEvent, the event focuses on regional products and the prevention and reduction of waste – for a responsible and communal experience.
The highest standard in tourism
In Brixen and the surrounding area, we are working consistently and committedly on the issue of sustainability and are one of the few regions in Italy with GSTC sustainability certification. We have received this certification as part of the South Tyrol Sustainability Label and are re-audited every year. The GSTC criteria are divided into the following four areas:
- Sustainable management
- Socio-economic sustainability
- Cultural sustainability
- Environmental sustainability
Fresh drinking water to go
Brixen is surrounded by nature, and we want to protect it. Instead of carrying plastic bottles up the Plose, use the natural sources available locally. In the town, the surrounding villages and on the mountain, you can refill your reusable bottle – for example, the elegant stainless steel bottle with the Brixen logo – free of charge. All huts on the Plose have banned single-use plastic, and drinking water fountains are clearly marked. Small steps, big impact!
Single-walled: small (0.5 litre) € 9.95, large (0.75 litre) € 14.95
Thermos: small (0.5 litre) € 19.95, large (0.75 litre) € 24.95
The bottles are available at the Tourist Info Brixen.
