What’s bike festa Südtirol?

The bike festa Südtirol is much more than the classic bike event. It celebrates cycling in all its facets: from Gravel, Road Bike and (E-)MTB to Touring, Urban and Kids. It is also defined by its gusto culinary delights, bringing people together to connect, share, and just have the best time.

You have the opportunity to test all types of bikes, but there are also numerous experiences, such as the Innovation Gallery with its futuristic look into product development, rides to wine taverns, kids' activities, film screenings, guided tours with athletes, and many gourmet stops.

When does bike festa Südtirol take place?

The bike festa Südtirol is premiering from 17–20 September 2026.

Where is Brixen/South Tyrol?

Brixen is located in the northern part of South Tyrol, just beyond the Brenner Pass, making it one of the first stops on the southern side of the Alps. The historic city with its narrow lanes, spacious squares and arcades, is considered one of the most beautiful towns in South Tyrol. It is surrounded by vineyards climbing up the mountain slopes. Also famous is its local mountain, the Plose, which is home to the Brixen Bikepark.

When is the best time to visit?

The cycling season in Brixen begins early in spring and extends well into late autumn. Especially September and October – the “gusto months” – entice with tours bathed in the golden autumn light. The Brixen Bikepark on the Plose is open until mid-October.

What can I expect at bike festa in Brixen/South Tyrol?

The bike festa Südtirol in Brixen offers a packed programme. The expo area, right in the heart of the old town, is where you can discover and test the latest bikes across all categories: gravel, (e-)MTB, touring, road bike, urban, and kids' bikes. There are also plenty of culinary highlights, from brunch to Aperol, and from food trucks to wine taverns.
Plus: prepare yourself for art installations, cycling workshops and kids’ programmes. Brands offer a glimpse behind-the-scenes, showcasing new innovations and exciting films. And of course, there will be guided rides for every bike category and every skill level.

Do I need tickets for the event?

Access to the Expo Area and bike testing is free of charge. For certain program highlights, such as the rides or the Film Night, a paid registration may be required. Details can be found in the respective program sections.

Our brand partners offer bikes and parts for various disciplines (MTB, e-MTB, Gravel, Road Bike, Urban, Kids). They can be tested on the beautiful routes – from super easy to challenging – in and around Brixen.

Which brands are present at the Expo Area at bike festa Südtirol?

In addition to bike brands, the bike festa also features manufacturers of components, clothing, equipment and even even South Tyrolean quality products to taste.

What is the best way to get to Brixen?

Brixen is easy and convenient to reach by train. The railway station is only a few minutes’ walk from the old town. For those travelling with heavy luggage, there are bus connections directly from the station to the town and the surrounding villages.

By car: from the north via the Brenner Pass, from the south via Bolzano, and from the east through the Pustertal Valley.
